Off the Rails Episode 1: Jack from The Bracknall

We’ve just dropped Episode 1 of Off the Rails, the RD1 Clothing podcast — and it’s a big one for us. Not only was it our first full episode, but we also welcomed our very first guest: Jack from The Bracknall.

Jack sat down with Mickey (RD1 owner) and Liv (RD1 TikTok Live host) for a proper chat about music, football, and clothing. The conversation flowed from life on the road to the band’s new album — which has been on repeat in the RD1 van for months — and gave us a real look into what it’s like to be part of a rising British band.

The Bracknall Acoustic Covers at RD1

One of the highlights of this episode was Jack picking up the guitar for two raw acoustic performances. Hearing Falling Out of View stripped back was something special, and his cover of The Beatles’ A Day in the Life gave us chills. It’s moments like this that show why we wanted to start this podcast in the first place, to connect music, culture, and style in an authentic way.

Style Meets Sound

Of course, we couldn’t let Jack leave without browsing the rails. He gravitated towards our Penfield collection, picking out a jacket that fit his look perfectly.

Penfield has always been about mixing function with timeless design, and it was spot on to see Jack rocking a piece that reflects both his personality and the band’s laid-back, independent vibe.

More Than Just a Clothes Shop

We’ve always said RD1 is more than just a clothing store. The podcast is our way of sharing the culture that inspires us, from terrace wear to indie music, and giving a platform to the people who live and breathe it.

This is only the start of where Off the Rails can go, and we couldn’t have asked for a better guest to kick things off. Massive thanks to Jack — top lad, belter of an album, and a big future ahead for The Bracknall.
