Off the Rails Episode 2:– Jay from jaymadeit

We’re back with another episode of Off the Rails, the RD1 Clothing podcast — and this week we’ve got our second guest: Jay from jaymadeit, a Brighton-based band making real noise in the UK indie scene.

Mickey (RD1 owner) sits down with Jay for a proper chat about music, fashion, and growing up in the late ‘90s and early '00s. They dig into songwriting, influences and that raw DIY energy that drives both Jay’s music and the spirit of RD1.

Style Meets Sound

Of course, we couldn’t let Jay leave without a quick browse through the rails. He was straight onto our Sergio Tacchini collection — picking out a classic long sleeve polo that fit his look perfectly.

Sergio Tacchini has long defined that crossover between performance and culture. Born in ‘80s, it became a staple of British youth style — blending sharp design with retro attitude. From the Dallas to the Damarindo and Orion, these pieces still carry that authentic casual look that never really went away.

At RD1, we’ve always said we’re more than just a clothing store. Off the Rails is our way of giving something back to the culture that inspires us — from terrace wear to indie music — and shining a light on the people who live it every day.
