Most people know Sergio Tacchini for the tracksuits, tennis gear and its massive connection with 80s casual culture. The story goes back to 1966, when Italian tennis champion Sergio Tacchini founded the brand and started bringing more colour and style to the tennis court.
Through the 70s and 80s, Sergio Tacchini moved well beyond tennis. Track tops, polos and tracksuits became proper casual gear, and that history is a big reason we've always backed the brand at RD1.
We've stocked Sergio Tacchini menswear for years, so adding selected women's pieces made complete sense.

The Sergio Tacchini Dresses
If we had to pick our favourite part of the Sergio Tacchini women's collection, it's the dresses. No messing around with them. They're smart, simple and really easy to wear. You still get that classic Sergio look and tennis influence, but they don't feel like you're walking around in sportswear.
The fit is good too. Stick one on with a pair of DMs, tights and a jacket when it's cold. Trainers work pretty much whenever. Going away somewhere warm? Sandals on and you've got a really easy holiday outfit sorted.
That's what we like about them. They're just beautiful, simple pieces that you don't have to think too hard about.

What Does Sergio Tacchini Womenswear Fit Like?
This is where we'd rather tell you properly than just say everything is "true to size".
The Sergio Tacchini women's dresses we've stocked have generally been a really good fit. They have a slightly oversized, relaxed shape, so they don't feel too clingy but still sit nicely when worn in your normal size. We'd recommend sticking with your usual size unless the individual product description says otherwise.
Some of the women's track tops and tops have a shorter, cropped fit. Track pants are a standard length depending, which is worth bearing in mind whether you're taller or shorter. We'll put the important fit information in the individual product descriptions wherever we can, so have a quick read before ordering.

One thing we've never wanted to do is suddenly create a women's section full of stuff that has nothing to do with RD1. It still needs to feel like us.
That's why Sergio Tacchini works. It's got the history, the tennis influence, the Italian styling and that genuine connection with 80s casual clothing and retro sportswear that we've always been into.

Having a Sergio Tacchini ladies' collection doesn't mean you've suddenly got to stick to it. Plenty of women still buy T-shirts, track tops, polos and other pieces from our men's ranges, especially if they prefer a more relaxed or oversized fit.
Our full Sergio Tacchini collection has a much wider choice of track tops, polos, jackets, T-shirts, knitwear, shorts and tracksuits. If you like it and the fit works for you, wear it. Simple.
